Editable text mode handles up to 20 pages per conversion. For a longer file, convert it in parts, or switch to Exact layout for the whole document.
Most PDF to Word converters give you one result and hope it works. PDF files are built for printing, not editing, so no converter gets every layout right. That's why this tool gives you a choice.
The converter reads the text in your PDF and rebuilds it as real Word paragraphs you can select, edit and reformat. Clean documents like reports, letters, CVs and contracts come out closest to the original. Your file is processed on our secure server and deleted right after conversion.
Each PDF page is placed inside the Word file as a high-resolution image, with the page size taken from the PDF itself. Fonts, columns, charts and signatures look exactly the same. This mode runs entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device. The trade-off: the text is not editable.
Yes, in Editable text mode. The text comes back as normal Word paragraphs. In Exact layout mode each page is an image, so the text looks right but can't be edited.
It depends on the mode. Editable text mode sends the file to our secure server, converts it, and deletes it right after. Exact layout mode runs in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
In Editable text mode, Word lays the text out again with its own spacing and fonts. A dense PDF page can spill onto a second Word page. The content is all there, just spread over more pages.
Editable text mode handles up to 20 pages per conversion. Exact layout mode can take the whole file, within the file size limit shown on the upload box.
Exact layout works with scanned PDFs. Editable text mode can't pull editable text from a scan yet, because a scan is a picture of a page with no text layer.
The limit for your account is shown on the upload box. Editable text mode also caps files at 50MB. For bigger files, use Exact layout or compress the PDF first.
No account. No upload queues. No fine print. Just pick a tool and you're done.
