These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PDFfans (the "Service"), operated at pdffans.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Using the Service
PDFfans provides online tools for converting, editing, compressing, and managing PDF, image, document, audio, and video files. Many tools are available without an account; some features require a free or paid account. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
2. Accounts
When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Plans and Payment
PDFfans offers a Free plan and paid Silver and Gold subscription plans with higher upload limits and additional features, as described on our Pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processors (PayPal and Stripe) until cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard; cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law.
4. Acceptable Use
When using PDFfans, you agree not to:
- Upload or process files that are illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to use.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our systems.
- Use automated means to abuse or excessively scrape the Service outside of any offered API terms.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Your Files and Content
You retain all ownership rights to the files you upload. By uploading a file, you grant PDFfans a limited, temporary license to process that file solely to provide the tool or feature you requested. As described in our Privacy Policy, uploaded files and their generated output are removed from our servers after processing.
6. Intellectual Property
The PDFfans name, logo, website design, and underlying software are the property of PDFfans and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that file conversions will always be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for verifying the output of any tool before relying on it.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFfans will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or files. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any account that violates these Terms or poses a risk to the Service or other users.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
