By accessing or using the PDFfans website (www.pdffans.com) and its tools ("Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Use of the Service
PDFfans provides online tools to convert, edit, compress, merge, split, protect and manage PDF and related document files. You may use the Service for personal and legitimate commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, infringing or unauthorized purpose.
- Process content you do not have the right to use, or that is illegal or malicious.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or compromise the security or functionality of the Service.
- Use automated systems, bots or scripts to abuse the platform or exceed reasonable usage.
Word to PDF and PDF to Word run on our server and have a daily limit for free use. Paid plans raise limits like this one; they never lock a tool. Each plan also has a maximum file size, shown on every tool page.
2. Accounts
Most tools work without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Your Content
You keep all rights to your files, and we claim no ownership over them. Most tools process your files in your browser, so we never receive them. For the few tools that use our conversion server, you give us limited, temporary permission to process your file only to deliver the result you asked for. The file is then deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, design, layout, graphics, logos, code and functionality, belongs to PDFfans unless noted otherwise. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or publicly display any part of the website without our prior written consent.
Copyright complaints. If you believe something on PDFfans infringes your copyright, email support@pdffans.com with the page address, a description of the work, and your contact details. We review every notice and remove material where appropriate.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
All PDFfans tools are currently free to use. We plan to offer paid plans that raise limits (such as upload size), remove ads and add priority support; the tools themselves stay free. When paid plans are available:
- Prices, features and billing cycles will be shown clearly before you buy.
- Subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Payments are handled by third-party payment processors under their own terms. We do not store full payment card details.
- Refunds, where they apply, follow the refund terms shown at the point of purchase and applicable consumer-protection law.
6. No Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the tools will meet your requirements, that results will be error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or fully secure. Please check important documents before you rely on them. You use the Service at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFfans is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
8. Third-Party Links
The Service may link to third-party websites for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or practices. Please review their terms and privacy policies yourself.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the country from which PDFfans is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a concern, please contact us first at support@pdffans.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may change these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
