Good to know: this is a text-position export, not a reconstruction of the layout. Images, tables and links are not included. With coordinates on, lines are listed from the top of the page downward. The y value of each line is still measured from the bottom-left corner of the page. The font attribute is an internal ID from the PDF reader, not a font name. Scanned PDFs have no text to export, and there is no OCR. For a simpler format, try PDF to JSON.
Drop your PDF onto the tool, choose whether to include coordinates and page info, click Convert to XML, then download single pages or the whole set as a ZIP.
A pdf_document root holds one page element per page. With coordinates on, each page has line elements, and each line has text elements with x, font and size attributes. With coordinates off, each page has one content element.

Lines are listed from the top of the page to the bottom, which matches reading order. Each line carries its y attribute, measured from the bottom-left corner, if you want to sort it your own way.
